Catch Foundation creates and restores green spaces: Miyawaki forests, green belts, urban and riverfront plantations. Every site needs saplings, tree guards, drip lines, compost and labour, often from several local vendors at once.

Classic Collective already had products loaded on Odoo Online and wanted to start selling. But Odoo Online would not let them change the shop's menus, build pages for each product category or control how products were ordered inside them. Each supplier also shipped differently. Wagner additives went out from the workshop's own stock, Revotec and Team Dynamics parts were drop-shipped, and Vintage Tyres could only be delivered to the workshop for fitting. The team needed the website to say all of that, and to stop retyping supplier price lists by hand.

The JS Patel Gayatri Educational Campus in Mansa runs eight schools on one campus, from pre-primary to higher secondary. At fee time, the office counter sees parents paying for children in different schools, by cash, cheque, UPI or under RTE. Each school kept its own registers. Answering a simple question from the trustees, "how much is still pending across the campus?", meant days of adding up ledgers.

A customer wants a gaming PC. They pick a shiny graphics card, then a CPU, then discover the motherboard doesn't fit, the power supply is too weak and the case they loved is out of stock. For SwissHardware, every one of those moments meant a lost sale or a support email. And behind the scenes, the store's stock in Shopify and the warehouse stock in Odoo told two different stories.

Friday night at Terraza Montemar, "La Casa del Chillo Frito". The terrace is full, the sea breeze is up and three plates of fried snapper sit under the heat lamp. Nobody is sure whose table they belong to, and the waiter who took the order is across the restaurant. Great food was never the problem. Getting it from the kitchen to the right table while it was still crisp, and making it easy for happy guests to tip and pay, was.

At 6 a.m. the ovens at Ocean Bakery are already hot, and the head baker is guessing. Make too few croissants and the lunch queue walks away. Make too many and they end up in the bin by evening. Meanwhile orders arrived from three directions: the counter, the website and phone calls for delivery. Each lived in a different place, and nobody could say with confidence how much flour was left until the bag was empty.

Free health camps do enormous good, but they are hard to run well. Before Jan Sehat Setu, camps were announced through posters, WhatsApp forwards and word of mouth so many people who needed a screening never knew it was happening; patients turned up without appointments, waited for hours and were sometimes turned away when capacity ran out; doctors worked from handwritten slips that were hard to find later; volunteers were coordinated by phone without simple duty applications or recognition; hospitals managed each camp in its own spreadsheet without a single view of camps, patients, or doctors; and mothers booking for children and elderly parents had to register each person separately in chaos at the camp.

It's 12:30 on a weekday at DiscoveryLand's Satellite branch. Forty parents, drivers and nannies crowd the gate at once. A teacher holds a three-year-old's hand and has a few seconds to decide: is this the right person to take her home? That question, asked hundreds of times a day across two branches, is where this project began. DiscoveryLand needed more than a fee register. They needed a system that keeps children safe, keeps parents informed and gives the director a clear view of every branch without chasing anyone for updates.

Dublin University Football Club is the oldest club in the world in continuous existence, founded in 1854. Its website is run by volunteers: students, alumni and committee members who have a match on Saturday and exams on Monday. Every week someone had to update fixtures, results and the league table across seven teams by hand. When that person was busy, the website fell behind and supporters turned up for kick-offs that had moved.

Contra Farms builds indoor grow chambers: trays of seed pods that move from germination to grow, under LED shelves, with a water pump, nutrient dosing and a fan. The hardware was full of sensors, but the readings stayed inside the box. A grower could not see from the sofa that pH had drifted, or that a shelf light was still on at midnight. Changing a setting meant standing next to the machine. And Contra Farms had no single view of the chambers across homes, cafés, schools and commercial farms.
